HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
On this day celebrating love and romance, we are thrilled to release the music video to our wedding song, I Will. Dave and I sang this song to each other 3 and a half years ago as our wedding vows. We recorded it in Nashville last spring. And now the brilliant Mike Gallagher has produced a fun and beautiful video, mixing our song with scenes from our life here at Eden Ranch, our home. Bob and Tally, the horses; Baby Blue and Mo, the poodles; Hugo Boss, the peacock and our dear chicken all make appearances in a song that celebrates the joys of love and marriage. The opening scene features some of our favorite people in the world: Linda Bell, Kit Ogilvie, and Glenn Emery. We appreciate all the time and effort and love that went into this project. We launch our dear song into the world and watch to see where it will go. You can watch this very special video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxJnSvfrklQ We had another special event this week. We finished the video of one of our newest songs, The Love of A Lifetime. This song sings of that lost feeling of waiting a lifetime to find your soulmate, and then the joy of finally finding them, of looking into their eyes and knowing it was worth the wait. When we recorded the song, we thought the simplicity of voice and piano was enough, but we have decided, with the help of lots of Facebook friends, to add strings to the recording. We called Jonathan Yudkin today, of RD#1 fame, and he has agreed to orchestrate the song for us. He is going to start on Monday, and we can't wait to see what Jonathan's genius does for our song. The Love of A Lifetime video can be seen at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTbCLs77zB4. Just for today, Valentine's Day, and through this Fun Alert, we are giving away free recordings of these songs. Just go to our website, message us and mention this Fun Alert. We also have gift cards for I Will available on our website- a lovely present for a bride-to-be or a wedding or shower favor. Wishing you all love and peace and romance, Donna & Dave

Friends!!! We have returned safely from the peaceful island of Jamaica. What an incredible place, filled with beauty, nature, vibrant colors, and warm and generous people. And really healthy flavorful vegan food--ackee, cassava! They grow, pick, roast, grind and serve your coffee--incredible flavor, that first sip of the day was mind-blowing. We learned a lot, we were on the ocean with dolphins and on the river with crocodiles, we drank at a bar out in the middle of the ocean, we snorkeled with schools of flashy fish, and we made music. We were delighted that the Jamaicans we met loved our new reggae song--One Heart--and one lovely man in particular, Kerron Elliott, contributed keyboard, guitar and bass tracks to our recording. He really helped shape the sound of the song with beautiful suspended chords. And now One Heart even has a dance to go along with it, and hand symbols to go along with it, too, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Which brings us to: FRIDAY NIGHT! We are happy to be singing in Pottstown at Cutillo's, 8-11pm, right on Germantown Pike as you come into town from the east, that sparkly place on the water-- great food, atmosphere and drink! We invite you to come and join our fun, sing along, request songs! We promise to play One Heart AND teach you the dance and hand parts! Since Dave isn't home right now, I can say I hope he will let me bring my keyboard so I can sing our new piano song, The Love of a Lifetime. Dave doesn't like taking extra gear (who would think of a keyboard as "gear"?), and I have observed this trait in every pro musician I know. They like to own gear, but not cart it around. I am new at this, and I love exercise, so I don't get this aversion to toting things around yet. So, if you would like to hear The Love of a Lifetime, please let me know, and maybe I can persuade Dave. Although I do admit, although I MEAN to tote things, I usually end up talking and he end up toting. Love & Peace, Donna & Dave Since Donna and I became "DaveLovesDonna", I have, with great delight, thrown myself fully into taking this latest project as far as we can. I've been making music for a living for over 40 years now. I've had bands, duos, trios, and I've done literally thousands of solo gigs. All these many years I've been writing songs, recording and releasing them on whatever format was in vogue at the time, and doing what I could to get some famous person to record one of my songs and make me a lot of money. At least that was the intention at the time.
This new partnership with Donna has taken me completely by surprise. Donna and I have known one another for over 30 years now. We've always been friends and enjoyed one another's company. As you know, that friendship took a different twist when our affection for one another turned into a deep, romantic love. I always knew that Donna was smart, great with words and incredibly capable, but I really didn't know how amazingly talented and creative she is. Since we became a musical duo a few years ago, I've been really impressed by the progress that she's made as a musician. She has always been comfortable onstage and that has been a great asset, but she has been working endlessly on her musicianship and it shows in a big way. Her playing and singing are as good as it gets and I truly enjoy performing with her. Imagine my delight when Donna started writing songs; not just songs, but really good songs. I've been writing songs since I was a kid and have scores of them, but Donna is writing so well and so prolifically that I find myself in the position of mainly supporting her as she lets her creative flag fly. I just have so much fun helping to make Donna's songs into recordings and videos that I have little time for much else, although I do find myself often working on instrumental music to use as soundtracks in the videos that I regularly produce. So that's how we spend much of our time. We write, we record, we produce videos, we promote, market, book gigs, and do our best to learn all we can on how the industry works, using social media and everything else related to moving our creative output forward. It's a truly joyful life. We also have a lot of fun. We believe that we're meant to have fun while we're in these bodies. We work hard at maintaining our bodies, since they are such useful tools, with exercise (walking, running, yoga, swimming, maintaining our ranch, etc), diet (we're vegetarians who grow much of our own produce) and daily readings, prayers and meditations. We also like traveling and enjoy lots of social occasions with our beloved and ever-expanding circle of friends. Thank you for being a part of DaveLovesDonna. Ultimately we are doing all this for you too, since it is our belief that we are all connected and the happiness of any of us positively impacts the happiness of us all.
